The Ketchum Social Responsibility (KSR) initiative demonstrates the company's commitment to community service and social responsibility. MMG, as a Ketchum affiliate company, participates in activities throughout the year. Just last week, a group of MMG employees put their hands and hearts together to help a local shelter for homeless individuals.

Our otherwise solemn conference room filled up with chatter as we assembled meals for the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless (MCCH). We set up "an assembly line" to package 60 bagged lunches. Each bag contained two sandwiches with condiments, snacks, fruit, and water.

MCCH is a non-profit organization in Montgomery County, MD. As its mission states, MCCH "provides solutions to ensure that homelessness is rare, brief, and nonrecurring." Its programs serve more than 1,400 men, women, and children. More information about how to help this organization is available at You can also follow their activities on Facebook.

Of this experience, Gwen Jones, one of the event organizers, said: "One of the colleagues and I delivered the lunches. This was my first visit to the shelter location; it was quite a humbling experience. I will remember for a while the appreciative look on the faces of the men that helped unload my car."

September is always a month of giving at MMG. We gather together to help the community and are looking forward to many other opportunities to give throughout the year. In addition to making and delivering lunches to MCCH, during the month MMG employees are collecting food items to donate to the Gaithersburg Help Food pantry.

We are proud to be part of the Ketchum Social Responsibility initiative and to have contributed time and effort to help to those less fortunate than us. We promise to put our hands and hearts together again!
